It's a new year! I have 19 students this 2011-12 school year. It's December, so we are doing Christmas around the world.  I will try to add some photos from earlier activities.

These are some of the photos from our Kindergarten Rodeo.  The kids had a great time and got to participate in several activities. My station was Hay Haulin. I will post more photos real soon.

We are getting ready for Dr.Suess activities this week.  The children are dressing differently each day.  Tomorrow is crazy sock day. I am looking forward to character day.  One of the children told me that they were going to be the Cat In The Hat.
We are all looking forward to warm days so that we can go outside for recess.

100th Day of School

No school today due to the extreme windchill.  We did have a great time on the 100th Day of School which we celebrated last Friday.  The students brought collections of 100 items. They made crowns. They also made a 100 poster with hearts on it. They also put 100 fruit loops on a 100 chart- and then got to eat them!  At the end of the day, we had doughnuts and juice. The kids said that it was the best day ever!

January 18th

Glad to be back today.  This week we are learning about the letter c in phonics.  In Reading, we are reading a book about a chameleon.  We are talking about changing for protection and patterns.  In Math, we are talking about ordinal numbers.  We are using our bodies in line to discuss the order of 10.  Try to use the words 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th.
